CLASSES

OUR CLASSES

INFANTS

6 weeks - 11 months

We provide a safe and nurturing place for your infant.

Our teachers are gentle and patient with each child, giving each one individual attention as well as plenty of stimulating activities such as tummy time, reading, singing, and movement.

We encourage and assist your infant in reaching language, physical, cognitive, social, and emotional milestones for their age.

WALKER / CRAWLERS

12 months - 24 months

The walker/crawler room is designed for exploration and discovery. We assist your child in developing social skills such as sharing and taking turns. We help them develop their language with a simple curriculum teaching sounds and small words as well as sign language for non-verbal communication.

Our goal is to provide a comfortable atmosphere built on love and trust allowing your child to explore and learn through organized play. Additionally, they are taught self help skills such as holding their own utensil to feed themselves. Daily reports and weekly lesson plans are provided to inform you of your child's development.

EXPLORER CLASS

2 year olds

The ABEKA curriculum begins in the two year old classroom. The students learn language development, counting 1-25, singing, Bible stories, and listening skills that include color words, shapes, animals, types of transportation, community helpers, health and safety terms, and manners.

Our curriculum is Christian based which includes prayer, Bible story, and the pledge to the flag daily. Our 2 year old class also includes potty training. We work with the parent closely during potty training to ensure there is consistency at home and school. A daily report as well as a potty progress report is given to each parent daily.

DISCOVERY CLASS

3 year olds

The curriculum becomes gradually more challenging as more dimensions are added to the language development portion of the curriculum. The children learn to recognize the name, sound, and shape of short vowels and consonants. They study the formation of vowels and consonants in the upper and lower case.

They are introduced to cutting, drawing, and gluing. They study counting 1-30 and number concepts 1-15. They are read Bible lessons such as Creation, Noah, Boyhood of Jesus, and the Good Samaritan. This class also reviews a character building curriculum focusing on sharing, being a good friend, and dealing with feelings and emotions. A daily report is provided each day.

PRE-K CLASS

4 & 5 year olds

Our Pre-K program is a preparatory class for kindergarten. The students learn to recognize the name, sound, and shape of long vowels and consonants, the sound of 'blend' words and one and two vowel words, and even begin reading sentences and stories with one and two vowel words.

They will expand their recognition of numbers to 100 and number concepts 1-20. They will begin to memorize a Bible verse each week as well as continue their development of motor skills in drawing, coloring, cutting, and gluing. They enjoy poetry each week as well as traditional and fun songs. A daily report is provided each day.

BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL

5 - 12 year olds

Our Before and After School Program begins by transporting your child to Bill Brown Elementary, Arlon Seay Elementary, Johnson Ranch Elementary, or Rahe Bulverde Elementary, then picking them up after school in a Kid's Day bus driven and monitored by two of our teachers.

We assist the children with their homework as well as give them an opportunity for outside play and structured table play. We also review character-building curriculum such as how to handle situations with their peers in a positive manner. Students can be dropped off at Kid's Day as early as 6:00 AM and then picked up by 6:30 PM.
